March Madness

It’s March Madness! My team, Indiana University is competing in the Big Dance. Her Campus has partnered with Garnier Color Styler to bring you some fun game day looks! The Garnier Color Styler is a very fun and simple product to use. It comes in Red Temptation, Bronze Attitude, Pink Pop, Purple Mania and Blue Burst for the perfect game day accessory.

It’s pretty simple. You shake the bottle and put the dye in the palm of your hands. I had my friend Haley help me dye my sister Ainsley and I’s hair. You then rub the dye along the hair that you want to color. I decided to just do a couple of strands and I think it turned out pretty well. I was a little iffy at first but the dye smells great and washes out in just a couple of washes. I only decided to do a couple streaks to test it out and it worked well. I am excited to try more in the future!

Pre game Preparation

Haley did the tips of Ainsley’s hair by just rubbing the dye along the strands…super easy!

Haley said she looks like she just murdered someone…we made sure to hide the gloves in the trash can. Please excuse the background of our hotel bathroom. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

I love how the red looks in Ainsley’s hair. She has a lot lighter hair than I do and she was excited to try this!

I tried this in a braid and love how the red shows in the bottom. My braids are a lot shorter now that I got my hair cut.

The color shows through in a ponytail as well!

Game day

For games, I am not a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. I like to use my schools colors in cuter outfits! Today I am wearing a fringe crimson sweater and some white denim (cream and crimson anyone?) I usually wear something crimson or cream that’s cute and stylish because I like to stand out and be unique. It’s fun mixing and matching pieces for games!

The Garnier Color Styler adds an extra fun touch to help me cheer on my team to victory! BONUS: I’ve included a coupon for a $1 off this product that can be found in Target or any drug store. HERE Go buy it and have some fun with it!

A leather jacket and the most amazing headband

1 2 3 5 6

I have found the perfect headband. Krystle at KRZA makes the most amazing and comfortable headbands. She has so many kinds: The Turban, Side Tie, Gypsy, Mix Up, The Skinny, etc. She offers many different fun colors, prints and patterns. I am craving her Pineapple print one and this Flamingo one! I am wearing The Skinny Turban in Desert Night. You can wear it around your head like me or as a headband. I encourage you all to check out her site because you won’t be sorry! Also, follow her on Instagram @kkrzaa to see the latest!

I decided to style this headband with a simple outfit. This leather jacket my mom bought me at the Nordstrom in Chicago and I am obsessed. I wear this almost everyday now. I am wearing this shirt/dress from Akira, a boutique in Chicago. You can wear it as a shirt or a dress but the weather was nice so I celebrated (please excuse my paleness, I am a lot tanner now.) I bought these espadrilles in Chicago and fell in love. They are fun, unique and perfect for Spring/Summer!

Go check out KRZA!

You, Me, Oui~One sweatshirt: 3 ways

Today I am styling this amazing and comfortable sweatshirt from lulusimon STUDIO. The first look is more of a dressy one. I love this tucked into a skirt. I added a fun clutch and some gladiator wedges.

For the second look I decided to style it casually. I love these distressed jeans and espadrilles. They give off a low key vibe, but still stylish at the same time.

A Spring staple

I am a huge fan of joggers. I stock up on them whenever I see a cute pair. I found these at TJ Maxx for $12 and they will be a Spring and Summer staple. It was still chilly on this day so I wore a sweater with these. On a warmer day I will wear a graphic tee or basic instead! I love these little booties with the pants, and sandals would look good too.

What is your staple for Spring/Summer? Mine are joggers, little dress and skirts, a sleeveless blazer and graphic tees/tanks!

Mixing textures

1 2 3 4 5

For some reason, this winter all I have wanted to wear are skirts and dresses. It makes the cold weather blues go away. I am always trying to find new ways to mix up my skirts and dresses. I have a few skirts and always try wearing them with different tops or sweaters.

Underneath this amazing and super cozy sweater is a tank top summer dress. I decided to wear it as a skirt with this sweater. I added the velour silver leggings for a fun touch and different texture. I think tall boots and skirts/dresses are a perfect combination in the winter as well!

When it comes to variety and mixing up your closet, playing with textures is a great thing to try. I love wearing fun leggings like these velour ones and then adding a moto jacket, or a faux fur vest with a simple top or sweater underneath. It is a fun way to make Winter a little bit better!

I am not one to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but when The Shopping Bag asked me to style an outfit with this themed necklace, I was excited! I decided to pair this fun necklace with a plaid top and a olive green jacket. I like to mix greens and blues and thought the necklace worked with the shirt and jacket.

Jeweled- How to take inspiration from an outfit and make it your own

1 2 3 4 5 6 7

I saw this picture on Who What Wear and needed to recreate this outfit immediately. I have this jeweled crop sweater in my closet and have never really worn it. I didn’t think it would layer well over a top and I just didn’t know how to style it. When I saw the picture I tried layering an unbuttoned chambray shirt underneath and loved it. I think unbuttoning the bottom is such a great idea and looks really good with a skirt.

I love this Zara skirt (sold out) and I wear it all of the time! It is so transitional and can be styled so many different ways. It was raining this day so I wore my rain boots and put on a necklace and called it an outfit. At night, I wore a button down Burberry top which dressed it up a little more. Both work!

A camel leather jacket and a Burberry scarf

I am so sick of winter. I am counting down the days until the weather gets warmer, but I don’t know when that will be! I am tired of getting dressed in the morning because I just want to wear a dress and some sandals. I think I’m going to wear workout clothes to class today (gasp!). However, I stole this outfit from my mom’s closet to try to find some new things to wear.

I love this chunky white cable knit sweater with the zippers. Any sweater with a zipper is a winner in my book. The camel leather jacket and plaid Burberry scarf are perfect accessories. As I always say, why just wear a scarf when you can wear a statement necklace too!

I read an article in Who What Wear about the third piece to every outfit. It says that every outfit should have a third element to it. So, if you wear a sweater and jeans, you have to add a jacket, vest, scarf, etc. I always tried to stick with this rule before I even knew it was a rule! It’s a great read!

PS: I am hosting a giveaway with 7 other shops and bloggers! This means that there are 8 winners! I am giving away a necklace that you will have to look at my Instagram tomorrow if you want to see! @poshprime

This picture makes me want summer so badly. Who is with me?!

I found this from my vacation to Flordia last summer. The people in the background ruin it but I want a pina colada and my nails painted red again!

We celebrated my boyfriend Bryce’s birthday last weekend!

I work at a place with the prettiest objects and I had to take a picture. I love these flowers and the journal saying is so true!

I read this in my devotional last week and thought I would inspire others just like I was inspired. Random acts of kindness do so much good.

I won an Instagram giveaway from Maude Boutique! I am obsessed with this candle and the pillow is too cute. The necklace is perfect and I love all of the pretty colors! I can’t wait to try out these tattoos when I’m not embarrassed to show my pale arms.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happiest girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” Audrey Hepburn is such an inspiration to me.

I wasn’t able to spend Valentine’s Day with Bryce but he sent me some things from my Valentine blog post! He also sent me the adorable sleep mask as well! Phone case; Earrings

I posted this on Valentine’s Day and it couldn’t’ be more true.

I found this on Pinterest and couldn’t not post it. It is so funny!

How to layer a long cardigan

FullSizeRender FullSizeRender FullSizeRender FullSizeRender FullSizeRender

I needed a long cardigan in my life and found one on sale for $12 from ASOS! I have to admit, it is hard to style. The slits are a tad annoying but I decided to pair it with a graphic tee and a moto jacket. I love how the scarf adds proportion and more length. I think next time I am going to wear wedge booties or shorter boots.

Layering is all about working with lengths and textures. It is fun pairing a long top with a shorter vest and adding a scarf and/or a statement necklace.

Today I am featured as the Blogger Babe of the Week over at the Blogger Collective! Go check me out HERE!
