My Summer style trick

When I saw this dress in H&M I snatched it up immediately. I then realized it was a coverup, but I knew I had to change that. Today, I am showing you how to wear a coverup as an actual dress. The easiest way: wear a light slip underneath, add some jewelry and nice shoes. BAM, you’re done. This dress is super comfortable and looks just as great over a hot little swimsuit.

I chose to pair this with tall gladiator sandals and some gold gladiator wedges for a more dressy option. How many pairs of gladiator sandals do I have… you ask? Too many to count. Whoops. Also, if you can’t tell, I love my new hair. Clearly, I am touching it in every picture. (I didn’t notice until later.) I adore my new ombre lob and I will eventually be doing a post on how to style it.

Have a great day!

Megan

One lace crop top, two ways

I’m not usually a crop top kinda girl, but when I saw this one in Pitaya I knew it was perfect! I decided to style it two different ways: sporty and girly.

The first look is the white lace crop top with a blush wrap maxi skirt. I paired it with my favorite Free People halter bra and some tall gladiators. I’m not gonna lie…I would probably wear some gold wedges with this skirt but I lost mine for the time being and decided to make the look a little more edgy with the sandals. Any type of sandal would work too. You could do some cute flip flops, any wedge, or even Converse would be fun as well!

The second look is the top with stretchy black shorts. These are beyond comfortable and can go with so many things in the Summer! I paired this look with my Converse and a monogram baseball cap. This outfit can go anywhere!

P.S. Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! I had an amazing weekend in Indianapolis with my family and closest friends. Shopping, eating and hanging with the people you love most is the best way to spend your birthday!

Yeah, I’m not at Coachella. I lied. I’m in Bloomington, Indiana…yay. However I was constantly looking at Coachella outfits so I decided to put together my own. I bought this dress this weekend when I needed some major retail therapy. MAJOR. (If someone breaks your heart, you go shopping.)

Anyways, I found this at Forever 21…yes Forever 21. I immediately thought this is a Free People knock-off so I snatched it up and didn’t look back. I bought these sandals last week at an amazing price from Just Fab….$10. Yep. I added some dainty necklaces and my favorite new floppy hat. Of course I wore my leather jacket as well, because I’m obsessed. I’m also wearing the Free People halter lace bralette. I love how the halter pops out from under clothes for a pretty and girly vibe.

So, all you ladies not at Coachella, go put on your best outfit and act like you are there!

What I want: Warm weather

The warm (warmish, decent, nice, pretty) weather is here at last! I am shopping nonstop for Spring and Summer goodies so I decided to make a little list of some of my favorite things to buy!

1. How adorable is this matching blazer and skirt? I am obsessed with florals for this season and a matching set is just perfect. It’s casual, and doesn’t require a lot of work.

2. Espadrilles are my new favorite shoe. I love buying the flat version but every one needs a wedge to dress things up.

3. Blush is the color and I want it now. I love the drop hem of this dress. It’s so girly and pretty. This would look great with a blazer or denim jacket and some wedges or tall gladiator sandals. This is on my wish list!

4. I love these colored aviators that I see everywhere. Since I’m obsessed with pink this year, why not buy some pink ones?!

5. Wildfox is one of my favorite casual brands. This dress is adorable. This could be dressed up or even worn as a swimsuit cover up. I love versatile and easy pieces like this. Of course it’s pink too.

6. When I saw this bag I immediately added it to my wish list. It’s a tad small but perfect for an outdoor concert where you just need your phone, lipstick and a credit card. I love the blush color. (Do you see the theme here?) This also comes in hot pink, cement and black.

7. Last summer I had calf-length gladiator sandals. This summer I am going all the way. I love these knee high ones and just ordered a similar black pair that you will see on me soon. This is one of my favorite trends and can make any look better!

8. Distressed denim has been a trend for a couple seasons now but I can’t get enough. I love the two main holes in this pair. Such a great price too!

9. I am romper obsessed. It is the easiest outfit since it already has your shorts and top in one piece. Plus, you can’t go wrong with florals. This would look so good with the gladiator sandals and a little bag.
